Happy Holidays from all of us here at Basis. While many of you may be thinking about your New Year’s resolutions, for those of us in the consumer device space, early January means only one thing: an action-packed week in Las Vegas for the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).  We will be there showing the beta version of the Basis band for the first time in public and revealing an early look at the design of our personalized dashboard – something we’ve kept under wraps until now.

While we’ve recently shared quite a bit about the Basis band’s technology and sensors, that’s just half of the picture.  Just as important to our users’ experience is how we take the data the band collects about your body and present it in a simple, intuitive web dashboard.  This is a key focus for our team as we get ready to launch in 2012.

In case you’ll be at CES, below is a quick overview of what we’ll be up to. Be sure to drop by our booth too – #3632 in the North Hall of the LVCC.

• Journalists and bloggers can get their first view of the Basis band and dashboard at Pepcom’s Digital Experience media event on January 9th, 7pm to 11pm at the MGM Hotel.
• I’ll be joining a panel on UntetheredFitness – Mobile Devices and their Apps – Jan. 10th at 9:45am in the LVCC Room N256.
• And another called: “The End of the Couch Potato” on Jan. 12th at 2:50pm in the LVCC North Hall, N250.
• You can also see the Basis band at the FashionWare show hosted by Living in Digital Times, on Jan. 12th at 6:30 pm in the FashionShow Mall.
